Aqson level 1 by sreejib

Rating is 3.5/5

Aqson level 1 by Sreejib has presented with a refreshing idea of storytelling, combining the themes of mythology and Indian politics. Set in the backdrop of a game where Lucifer and God, two most powerful angels, come up with games where they contest to win the rights to guard Nature’s creation.

The book sees us thorough the present game titled Aqson, where God and Lucifer appoint their teams to reach the goal-  To make the weapons they use as the Prime minister of India.
The story progresses to reveal Lucifer’s weapon, Yuvrani Rathore, a strong contender for the post belonging to a national party. On the other hand we come across a group of youngsters who get involved in student politics after one of them faces a difficult situation as a consequence of getting into a fight with a prominent student figure belonging to a certain party of West Bengal.
This group of youngsters then decides to form a party of their own so as to revolutionize the student politics in the universities. The story progress with their efforts to reach this goal, facing obstacles in their way but overcoming those very tactfully.
All the while the game between Job and Vanraj, members of team God and team Lucifer respectively keeps going on. These youngsters come to a shocking revelation that they are a part of Life, God’s weapon for this game and overcoming emotional adversities and hesitations they finally accept their identity to take part in the game.

The storyline is new, the narration at times becomes monotonous but overall it touches on the political atmosphere in whole of India particularly in west Bengal. The book as a whole is pleasurable to read, especially because it tends to contradict the so called “human- lores”. A very detailed, beautifully executed storyline with catchy and relevant quotes which ends abruptly leaving the reader with a desire to seek its conclusion.
