He loves her.. she loves him. Their weeding is on the cards but their love is put to the test when an unforeseen incidents hits their lives. A heart wrenching tale of true love, friendship an destiny. And a young author's quest to find out what exactly happened.

My rating-★★★☆☆

My review-

Aditya, a young emerging author, while thinking about the plot of his next novel and chatting away with his friends comes across the arrest of Rohit- a medical student who has murdered three high- profiled guys. Intrigued by this, he decides to pursue this story. On his quest to find out the truth, he is lead to Alok- who was Rohit's best friend and then he narrates the heart- wrenching story of his friend- how a carefree boy turned into a cold blooded murderer.
What follows is the story of Rohit and the love of his life, Aisha, their misfortune and its consequences.

Written in a frame format, with transitions between past and present, this story mainly focuses on the fairy tale love story of Rohit and Aisha with a brimming love story of Alok and Kriti in the background.
Set in the time frame of their medical education, there are snatches of their life during their MBBS degree, the love at first sight and the wooing that followed. A greater part of the story is about the relationship that Rohit and Aisha shared, their mushy love story, overdone to an extent, covering almost two thirds of the book. The story depicts some aspects of MBBS life and life after it to some extent, has some courtroom drama and suspense involved, however the crux of the story occupies a very little portion giving it a very rushed feeling towards the end. The love story is a typical young adult one, the characters being the similar cliched ones but there is a twist-which is not only a solace but is actually the main message that the story conveys.
In spite of being Bollywood inspired this book has some actual message for the readers and is emotion packed in itself- every emotion can be deeply felt, mainly conveyed by the beautiful poetry contained.
Overall it is an average love story, written in a lucid language, however the main incidents should have been a bit more detailed for it would equalize the opposite emotions from the first part of the story- but the approach and attempt is quite appreciable.

Characters-

Rohit- he is the carefree guy who had come to a medical college to have fun and then is love-struck. He is that Bollywood hero, the spoilt guy who tries hard to become the good guy just for the one he loves. A loyal friend, a perfect lover he is that character everyone is familiar with. Only in the turn of events does he become the cold blooded murderer but even that he does for the one he loves.

Aisha- Rohit's love interest, a perfectionist in herself. She is the stereotyped female character who is the combination of beauty with brains and absolutely flawless. She takes upon herself to make her lover into a better human being. An all-understanding, all supporting girlfriend who is just too perfect.

Alok- a small town boy, reserved and shy finds great friends during his college life. He is basically a sidekick in the story but being the narrator of the story he is indispensable.

The other characters include- Neha and Kriti (the other friends of the college group), Aditya, Varun and Nikhil- who are the seekers of Rohit's story, Rohan, Suraj and Ajay and other characters are the important dots connecting the story to actually be something more than the regular love story.

Writing style-

Written in frame format, the story has smooth past present transitions, sometimes the names can get confusing but overall it is very easy to understand. A good part of the story is filled with college romance and life plans after it, however there is suspense and drama in the end. The text also contains beautiful poetry that conveys a lover's most intimate feelings and has a deep message embedded within.

A very average book, would not really recommend it to people except the ones who love to read love stories but the twist in the story line- the attempt to write something beyond the regular love story is really commendable.

About the author-

Aditya Nighhot is persuing his MBBS degree from Pune. he is a professional photographer, an avid reader and fond of music. As a twenty year old student, he feels that he can connect to the emotions of the youth and express this through his books. With social messages being the crux of his books, his writing has proved to be a boon to his audience.
